Chelsea: Um, let's see, "If you do more than henna, if you do more than henna, like face painting or glitter tattoos, should you try to keep the word henna out of your business name? Is it too confusing or limiting?"

I thought this was a really good question so I'm going to go ahead and address that one first. If you are offering multiple services, right? If you're offering multiple services that go beyond just henna, I would recommend considering positioning yourself as more of an entertainment company than limiting yourself just to the term "henna". Um, definitely this is going to be something that's going to be forward facing. So if you know out of the gate, "I'm not going to be making my full income off of henna. I want to be offering additional services that aren't related to henna." Um, then I would definitely find a business name that was not henna-specific.

Now, if you are dealing with a business where the majority of the revenue is going to be coming from henna services and then you offer these additional things on the side, then you can still—you can use that term “henna” in it. But, I think, honestly, if this were my business and I knew, "I'm going to offer henna and face paint and glitter tattoos and whatever other number of things." I would probably choose to position my business instead as being some sort of entertainment company, some sort of party entertainment sort of company versus focusing on henna and including henna in the business name.

So I know, um, as a hennapreneur, maybe that sounds—maybe that advice wasn't expected, but, definitely what we want to make sure is that we do—we want it to be a clear indication for the market of what they can expect from us. So those additional services definitely speak to me as more of an entertainment sort of company than just a henna business. Um, and so I would—my priority would be to make sure that the market knows that yeah, you offer these additional services. So I hope that helps.
