Recently, a friend reached out to me with a quote credited to James Humes, which says, “Every time you speak, you’re auditioning for leadership.”
“It reminded me of you,” she said. “You’re leading in ways that you probably don’t even see yet, and I want you to know that I’m proud of you.”
Now, of course, that meant something to me, and it reminded me of an exchange I had with a woman at a festival, some years ago. So I want to share that story with you all.
